Mr. Scott Fulton currently teaches seventh grade mathematics and science. He has been teaching in CPS for eight years. He has taught mainly mathematics and science, however he did teach one year of physical education at a prior school.
Mr. Fulton is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. He has always enjoyed running and has participated on a state champion cross country team in high school.
When he is not teaching he enjoys spending time with his family. He also plays in football, basketball and softball leagues. He is an avid Bears, Bulls, and Cubs fan. He enjoys watching and participating in most sports.
During college, he had a job of tutoring athletes on the football team. During that experience, he realized that he wanted to become a teacher. He really took pride in the fact that he could help someone learn. He enjoys knowing that he can make a difference in a person’s life.
Mr. Fulton hopes that his students will leave his class with a better understanding of how math skills can be applied to their everyday life.
