One Book, One School

Over the past week, all Clinton students have been reading, discussing, and creating projects for the The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore for the inaugural One Book, One School initiative. The Social Emotional Learning team developed the idea to bring the school together as a community, and reinforce the aspects of SEL that students have been learning about all year.

Clinton’s Community School grant helped secure copies of the book for every teacher. Classes spent the last week reading the book, discussing the themes of the text, and developing projects to display in the halls. Students from kindergarten to eighth grade participated in gallery walks to marvel at the hard work of their peers.

Thank you to the Social Emotional Learning team, teachers, and students for showing what it means to “educate the whole child for career and college success.”
