Dear Clinton Families,
I hope you are enjoying your summer and taking advantage of the beautiful weather! If you have been by Clinton this summer you know our major roof and masonry project has begun. We are extremely excited to finally have been awarded this much needed capital improvement. In addition, this week we were also informed we will have a full time CPS social worker assigned to Clinton. In the past our social workers have been assigned at Clinton for three and a half days. With a school of over 1200 students it was evident we needed additional support in this area.
Attached is a letter from Dr. Janice Jackson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel detailing the funding awarded to Clinton this summer. I am grateful to both Mayor Emanuel and Dr. Jackson for funding these two major improvements for our school.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and remember we are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30-12:00. Due to the construction, you will need to enter the building through the parking lot - Door #12.

"Clinton is Home" - Our first video highlighting our school is now released! Thanks to all the staff and students who participated in this video!
It is with sadness that we report to you the untimely passing of Steven Lagin. Steven was kind, smart, funny, and had a contagious smile. He along with his equally amazing brothers Sam (graduated in 2004), Robert (2008), Raymond (2012) and John (2017) attended Clinton starting in kindergarten and all graduated from our school. Anyone who ever had known any of these boys remembers them with only the fondest memories!
It is times like these where we must come together as a Clinton Family and support each other. We ask that you keep his family in your hearts during this difficult time.
The transition to Kindergarten is a major milestone for children and families as well. Please attend this workshop which will help you learn strategies to help your child's as they transition to Kindergarten!

Our Gifted Night was on 3/15/2018 from 3:45 to 5:00 PM. We were overwhelmed with the amount of support we received from all the parents that joined us. Students from 8th grade gifted classroom got us started with a short play. Parents then went into classrooms where the Gifted teachers in Grades 1 to 6 had planned wonderful activities in literacy as well as STEM for parents and students to participate in. Thankfully, we had lots of volunteers from the 7th and 8th grade gifted classrooms to help us!
